Woman Killed in Dell Vale Vehicle Crash at FM 973 and Pearce Lane

Dell Vale, Texas (April 18, 2019) – A woman was killed in a collision between two vehicles and which was caused by a driver who ran a red light at an intersection in Dell Vale on Thursday morning.

According to a local news source, the wreck happened at FM 973 and Pearce Lane at about 10:15 a.m.

The report showed that a truck was traveling northbound on FM 973 when its driver failed to stop for a red light and crashed into the side of a sedan that was making a turn from Pearce Lane onto FM 973.

Emergency crews responded to the incident and pulled out the woman who was driving the sedan.

The sedan driver was pronounced dead at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, where she had been  transported to after the crash.

The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and received a citation for failure to stop for a red light.

Investigators said intoxication was not believed to be involved in the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
