Arkansas Man Marvinv Weaver Dies in Texarkana Pedestrian Crash on North State Line Avenue

Texarkana, Texas (April 19, 2019) – A man from Arkansas was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing a street on Thursday night in Texarkana, according to DPS.

The crash occurred at about 8:45 p.m. April 18, in the 5300 block of North State Line Avenue.

DPS said Marvinv Weaver, 68, of Texarkana Arkansas, was in a wheelchair trying to cross the street when he was hit by a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe traveling in the southbound lane of State Line Avenue.

Weaver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Hyundai, Tina Turner, 69, of New Boston, was unhurt and stayed at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
