Oak Hill, Texas (April 18, 2019) – A man was killed in a crash involving multiple vehicles on Thursday morning near Oak Hill, according to the Austin police.

The crash occurred at U.S. 290 West and RM 1826 just before 7 a.m.

Police said an SUV pulling out of traffic made a turn on US 290 and collided with a silver car traveling on the highway. The impact caused the silver car to slide across the eastbound lanes of the highway and was hit by a truck.

The driver of the silver car was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the truck was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

Police said intoxication was unlikely a factor in the wreck.

Police cited the driver of the SUV for disobeying a posted sign.
