Woman Dies in Lubbock Bicycle Accident near Avenue Q and 26th Street

Lubbock, Texas (May 15, 2019) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident late Tuesday night in Lubbock.

The crash was reported shortly after 11:15 p.m. May 14, near Avenue Q and 26th Street.

Police responded to the incident and located a female and a dog, who had been hit by a vehicle.

The woman later died of her injuries. her identity was not immediately released.

The driver who struck the woman failed to stop at the scene.

Police said they are looking for the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
