Woman Killed in Orange County Pedestrian Crash on SH 62

Orange County, Texas (May 5, 2019) – A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Friday night in Orange County, according to the DPS.

The wreck happened on State Highway 62 north of FM 105 at about 8:30 p.m. April 4.

DPS said a woman was standing in the turn lane when she, for unknown reasons, walked into the roadway and was hit by a northbound GMC pickup.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The truck driver, identified as Savannah Robbins, 24, of Buna, was unhurt and stayed at the scene. Her three passengers were also uninjured.

The DPS is investigating the incident.
