Woman Hurt in Canyon Car Accident on U.S. 87

Canyon, Texas (May 2, 2019) – A major-injury collision occurred in Canyon on Wednesday morning, sending a woman to a hospital,  police said.

The collision occurred on U.S. 87 on Wednesday,  May 1.

Police said a woman was driving a white SUV on northbound U.S. 87 when she approached a construction zone and began to slow down.  As she was slowing down, her SUV was rear-ended by a blue Kia sedan.

The impact caused the SUV to roll over.

The woman was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.  It’s unclear whether anyone in the second vehicle was injured.

The crash is under investigation.
