Shirmett King ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Houston Crash on Voss and San Felipe Streets
Houston, Texas (April 21, 2019) – The motorcyclist who died in a fiery collision involving a vehicle on Monday evening in west Houston has been identified as Shirmett King, according to a local news source.
The crash was reported at about 6:00 p.m. April 15, in the area of Voss and San Felipe streets.
Police said King fled the scene of the crash in a motorcycle but was later spotted by a sedan driver who followed her to the Kroger. King then crashed her motorcycle and was ran over by the sedan driver, later identified as Julivan Do Tran.
King was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Tran stopped at the scene and was given a field sobriety test. Police said Tran would be charged with manslaughter.
The crash is still under investigation.
