San Antonio, Texas (April 20, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by vehicles on Thursday morning in San Antonio has been identified as Phillip Garippo, 26, according to the authorities.

According to the San Antonio police, the collision occurred at about 6:30 a.m. April 18, on eastbound Loop 410 near the North New Braunfels exit.

It’s unclear how the pedestrian was hit. The victim was allegedly shirtless and acting erratically moments prior to the collision.

Garippo was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash caused a closure of the right and center lanes of EB Loop 410 as the authorities examined the scene.

The San Antonio Police Department is investigating the crash.
