Man Dies in Austin Pedestrian Crash at Wells Branch Parkway and FM 1825

Austin, Texas (May 4, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene after the incident in North Austin early Friday morning.

According to a police report, the incident happened just before 5:45 a.m. May 3, at the Wells Branch Parkway and FM 1825 intersection.

Police said a driver in a dark-colored SUV or truck hit the man at the intersection and failed to stop and render aid.

The victim was transported to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.

The crash is under investigation.
