Ronald Ellerbeck Hospitalized after Houston Train-Car Crash on Harrisburg Boulevard near Sampson Street

Houston, Texas (May 3, 2019) – Police officers have identified the man who was injured in an accident involving a car and a train last month in Houston.

Ronald Lorne Ellerbeck, 31, was hurt in the collision that took  place at around 6:00 p.m. April 15, in the 3400 block of Harrisburg Boulevard near Sampson Street.

Police said Ellerbeck was driving a Toyota 4Runner along Harrisburg Boulevard when he attempted to make a left turn onto Sampson Street. A METRORail train struck the vehicle.

Ellerbeck was injured and transported to Ben Taub hospital for treatment.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash is still under investigation.
