Pedestrian Killed in Houston Crash on I-10 East

Houston, Texas (May 18, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck on Saturday morning in Houston, according to police.

The collision, which was reported around 4:51 a.m., occurred on I-10 East at Normandy.

Police said a red car became disabled on the highway and as the driver stepped out, they were hit by a passing pickup truck.

The pedestrian, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of an 18-wheeler passing by the scene lost control and overturned while trying to avoid the crash.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
