One Killed, 1 Injured in Olton Traffic Accident on US 70

Olton, Texas (May 22, 2019) – One person was killed and another injured when a vehicle crashed into a semi truck on Wednesday morning in Hale County, DPS said.

The collision occurred on US 70, just east of the Lamb County line at about 10:30 a.m.

DPS said a pickup truck was sent off the side of the highway and into a barbed wire fence after colliding with the semi truck.

A passenger in the pickup truck was killed in the crash. The driver was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
