18-Year-Old Hurt in Jasper County Crash on Highway 190

Jasper County, Texas (May 22, 2019) – A teen was injured in a collision involving three vehicles on Tuesday morning in Jasper County, according to the DPS.

The wreck happened at about 9:30 a.m. May 21, on U.S. Highway 190.

DPS said a 2018 Nissan passenger SUV was traveling westbound on Highway 190 when the driver slowed down for an 18-wheeler that stopped in front. In the process, the Nissan was rear-ended by a 2008 Pontiac passenger and the impact pushed it into the back of the big rig.

The driver of the Pontiac, an 18-year-old Bon Wier woman, was transported to a hospital in Lufkin for treatment of serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The DPS is investigating the incident.
