Dow Bert Parker ID’d as Man Killed in Odessa Pedestrian Crash on Golder and University Boulevard
Odessa, Texas (May 22, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Friday night in Odessa has been identified as Dow Bert Parker, 60, of San Angelo, according to the Odessa Police Department.
The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. May 17, in the area of Golder and University Boulevard.
Police said Parker was trying to run southbound across University Avenue when he was hit by an eastbound black Jeep Liberty.
Parker sustained major injuries and was transported to Medical Center Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Jeep, Jose Manuel Sanchez, 48, of Houston, was not injured.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the Odessa police.
