Man Hospitalized after New Braunfels Bicycle Collision on I-35 Access at Spur Street

New Braunfels, Texas (June 20, 2019) – A man was transported to a hospital after an accident where he was hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle on Wednesday afternoon in New Braunfels.

According to a report by the New Braunfels Police Department, the incident happened before 4:45 p.m. June 19, on the I-35 Access at Spur Street.

A man was reportedly riding a bicycle heading the opposite way of traffic when a four-door Nissan Rogue struck him.

The victim, a 64-year-old New Braunfels man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

No other injuries were reported.

Speed was not suspected to be a factor in the collision.

The New Braunfels police are investigating the collision.
