Man Killed in Hutchinson Motorcycle Accident on State Highway 136 near Borger
Hutchinson, Texas (April 29, 2019) – A rider was killed in an accident involving a motorcycle and a car on Sunday afternoon in Hutchinson.
The crash took place at about 12:45 p.m. April 28, on State Highway 136 near Borger.
Police said a 20-year-old woman was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic while a 61-year-old man was riding a 2009 Harley. The rider lost control of the motorcycle as he was switching lanes and he fell onto the highway.
The Sonic driver was checking on her phone and she ran the rider over, after which her vehicle left the roadway and struck a group of trees.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
