Officer Injured in Galveston Traffic Accident on 1st Street and Stewart Road

Galveston, Texas (April 29, 2019) – An officer was injured in an accident involving two police cars on Sunday evening in Galveston, according to the authorities.

The crash was reported at around 7:15 p.m. April 28, at the intersection of 81st Street and Stewart Road.

Police said the two patrol vehicles collided as the officers were responding to an emergency call on FM 3005 and 71/2 mile Road.

One officer was seriously injured and was taken to University of Texas Medical Branch for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
