Man Dies in Amarillo Pedestrian Crash on NE 15th Street

Amarillo, Texas (May 13, 2019) – A man walking his dog was struck and killed by hit-and-run drivers late Sunday night in Amarillo, according to the authorities.

The incident was reported at about 11:35 p.m. May 12, in the 1000 block of NE 15th Street.

According to the authorities, a 61-year-old man was walking his dog when he was hit by at least two drivers, who left the scene after the incident.

The victim was found deceased at the scene alongside his dead dog.

The victim’s identity was not immediately released.

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating the crash.
