Jason Wyant Dies in Tynan Car Crash on State Highway 359

Tynan, Texas (May 4, 2019) – One of the drivers killed in a head-on collision that occurred near Tynan in San Patricio County on Thursday morning has been identified as Jason Allen Wyant, 37, of Beeville, according to the DPS.

The wreck happened on State Highway 359 at about 10:45 a.m. May 2.

DPS said Wyant was in a 2012 Dodge Durango that was traveling eastbound on SH 359 when he drifted into the westbound side and collided head-on with an oncoming 2015 Chevy Silverado.

Both Wyant and the Chevy driver were pronounced dead at the scene.

The DPS is conducting an investigation into the incident.
