Alpine, Texas (April 10, 2019) – The woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Alpine on Tuesday morning has been identified as Cindy Lou Wilmore, 70, of San Marcos, according to Alpine police.

The incident was reported at about 8:30 a.m. April 9, on Holland and 6th Street.

Police said Wilmore walked into the path of traffic and was hit by a vehicle.

Wilmore suffered major injuries and was rushed to Big Bend Regional Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

No details have been provided on the driver of the vehicle involved.

The crash is under investigation.
