Alton Kimes Among 2 Killed in Livingston 2-Vehicle Accident on Highway 190

Livingston, Texas (April 29, 2019) – Two people were killed in a collision between two vehicles early Sunday morning near Livingston.

According to a report by the DPS, the incident occurred at about 3:15 a.m. April 28, on U.S. Highway 190.

DPS said Alton Kimes, 40, of Livingston, was driving a 2015 Dodge pickup truck westbound on the highway when he collided with an oncoming 2003 Cadillac pickup. The impact caused the Cadillac to catch fire.

Kimes was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, Naomi Moody, 40, of Livingston, was taken to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in Livingston and later airlifted to Conroe Regional Medical Center.

The other driver also died at the scene. The driver’s identity was not immediately released.

The crash is under investigation.
