Albert Creamer Killed in Texarkana Pedestrian Crash on Summerhill Road

Texarkana, Texas (April 15, 2019) – The man who was hospitalized with major injuries after being hit by a driver who left the scene on Wednesday night in Texarkana has succumbed to his injuries, according to the authorities.

The accident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in the 1100 block of Summerhill Road.

Police said the responding officers found a victim lying in the roadway after apparently being struck by a hit-and-run driver.

The victim, later identified as Albert Creamer, 40, of Texarkana, Arkansas, was transported to Christus St. Michael Hospital with critical injuries and was pronounced dead on the morning of Saturday, April 13.

There were no immediate details on the driver involved. The suspect was operating a vehicle believed to be an older model Ford Crown Victoria for a Mercury Grand Marquis.

The crash is under investigation.
