Francisco Flore-Resendez, 47, Dies in Reeves County Car Crash on State Highway 302

Reeves County, Texas (April 15, 2019) – A  driver from McAllen was killed in a collision involving three vehicles early Sunday in Reeves county, according to the DPS.

Francisco Flore-Resendez, 47, died in the fiery collision that happened just after midnight Sunday, April 14, on State Highway 302 south of Mentone.

DPS said Flore-Resendeza was driving a Kia Sorento northbound on SH 302 when he tried to pass a truck tractor and collided with an oncoming truck tractor.

Flore-Resendez was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

DPS said the three drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.

The crash is under investigation.
