Josey Shutter Killed in Fatal Polk County Car Crash on FM 1988
Polk County, Texas (April 20, 2019) – One person was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle collision on Thursday morning in Polk County, according to the DPS.
The wreck happened at about 8 a.m. April 18, on FM 1988, approximately five miles east of Livingston.
DPS said Josey Shutter, 28, of Livingston, was driving an SUV east on FM 1988 when, for unknown reasons, he slid into the westbound side and collided with an oncoming pickup truck driven by Dwayne Boyett, 34, of Goodrich.
Shutter was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Boyett was taken to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries,
The DPS is working to determine the cause of the collision.
