One Airlifted after Melvin Two-Vehicle Crash on US Highway 87 North
Melvin, Texas (May 6, 2019) – A person was airlifted to a hospital following a head-on collision that took place near Melvin on Monday morning, according to a local news source.
The wreck happened at about 3:25 a.m. on US Highway 87 North.
The authorities said a red pickup truck and an 18-wheeler were involved.
One person, who was probably riding in the pickup truck, was extricated from the wreckage by the Brady Fire Department crew. The victim was then airlifted by AirMed 1 to a hospital for treatment. No details were provided on the extent of the injuries suffered by the victim.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
