One Person Killed in Kaufman County Traffic Crash at SH 34 and Private Road 3780
Kaufman County, Texas (April 27, 2019) – One person was killed in a traffic collision involving at least three vehicles on Saturday in Kaufman County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The wreck happened at State Highway 34 and Private Road 3780.
DPS said a grey Ford was making a turn from Private Road 3780 onto State Highway 34 when a southbound cement truck drifted into the northbound side to avoid the turning vehicle. The cement truck collided head-on with a Ford Flex traveling northbound.
The cement truck then overturned and struck another vehicle.
One person riding in the Ford Flex was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim was not immediately released.
The DPS is investigating the incident.
