Houston, Texas (April 21, 2019) – A woman died after she was hit by a big rig on Sunday morning in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The crash happened near North Loop East at McCarty.

Police said a woman was trying to cross the road outside of a crosswalk when she was hit by the semitrailer.

The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the big rig stayed at the scene after the incident. The driver reportedly cooperated with the investigators.
