Vickie Capps Killed in Randall County Semi Collision on South Loop 335 at South Osage Street

Randall County, Texas (June 13, 2019) – A woman was killed in a big rig collision on Tuesday afternoon in Randall County, according to the DPS.

The wreck happened around 4:08 p.m., June 11, on South Loop 335 near Bonder Street.

According to the DPS, Vickie Capps, 62, of Amarillo, was driving in a vehicle heading south on Binder Street when she attempted a U-turn on South Loop 335.

Capps’ vehicle was struck on it’s side by a semi-truck heading east on the loop.

Capps was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi, Prosper Kodzo, 52, of San Antonio, was unhurt.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
