Man Injured in San Antonio Train Collision at San Marcos and Rivas Street

San Antonio, Texas (April 15, 2019) – A train hit and injured a pedestrian walking along the tracks early morning on Monday in San Antonio, police said.

The police report showed that that the incident occurred at San Marcos and Rivas Street around 2:30 a.m.

Police said the train conductor blew the horn after seeing the pedestrian walking on the tracks. The pedestrian did not respond to the horn and was hit by the train.

The man sustained back and head injuries and was transported to University Hospital.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
