Teresa Schwertner-Lee ID’d as Passenger Killed in College Station Accident on Tex 6

College Station, Texas (May 28, 2019) – 45-year-old Teresa Ann Schwertner-Lee has been identified as the woman who was killed in an accident involving a semi on Friday evening in College Station, according to College Station police.

The crash was reported at about 4:45 p.m. May 24, on Texas 6 South.

Authorities said a semi-truck was traveling south along Texas 6 when it experienced a tire blowout. The blowout caused the semi to slow down along the roadway. Another tractor-trailer that approached from the rear was unable to slow down and rear-ended the semi-truck.

Schwertner-Lee was a passenger in the tractor-trailer and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained severe injuries and transported by helicopter to an area hospital.

The crash is under investigation.
