Jon Philips, 52, Killed in Amarillo Car Crash on Western Street and Hester Road

Amarillo, Texas (May 28, 2019) – One person was killed in an accident involving two vehicles on Sunday night in Amarillo, as per a local news source.

The crash occurred at around 9:11 p.m. May 26, on Western Street and Hester Road.

Amarillo police said 52-year-old Jon Edward Philips was traveling south along Western Street when he rear-ended a pickup truck.

Philips sustained severe injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Sadly, he was later pronounced dead the hospital.
