Star Byrd Killed in Burleson Pedestrian Crash on I-35W

Burleson, Texas (April 13, 2019) – The woman who was struck and killed by multiple vehicles in Burleson on Thursday morning has been identified as Star Byrd, 39, , according to the police.

The crash occurred on I-35W at about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 11.

Police said Byrd, who had been staying at the Days Inn along I-35W, was trying to walk across the interstate when several cars struck her.

Byrd was pronounced dead at the scene.

Details on whether the involved motorists stayed at the scene were not released.

Police indicated that the victim may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs and may also have had mental problems.
