2 Injured in San Antonio Crash at Vestal Place and Commercial Avenue

San Antonio, Texas (June 25, 2019) – Two people were injured in a hit-and-run collision on Sunday night on San Antonio’s South Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

The collision happened near Vestal Place and Commercial Avenue on Sunday, June 23.

Police said a black car struck a parked vehicle near the intersection, then the driver ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle at the intersection.

The three occupants of the black car fled the scene after the incident.

Police later located and arrested the suspected driver at a nearby convenience store.

Police said the driver will be charged with DUI and failure to stop and render aid.

The two occupants of the car that was struck at the intersection were hospitalized with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the incident.
