Reynaldo Cardoza Killed in Edinburg Car Accident on FM 1925

Edinburg, Texas (May 17, 2019) – A 53-year-old Ediburg man was among two killed in a two-vehicle accident that took place early Friday morning near Edinburg, the DPS said.

The collision, which occurred at about 5:25 a.m., took place on FM 1925 east of Cesar Chavez Road.

DPS said Reynaldo Cardoza, 53, of Edinburg, was driving a Chevrolet Suburban eastbound on westbound FM 1925 when he collided head-on with an oncoming Chevrolet pickup truck.

Both Cardoza and the driver of the pickup truck were killed in the crash.

A passenger in the pickup was transported to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg with non-critical injuries.

The collision is under investigation.
