Sherman, Texas (April 22, 2019) – A 29-year-old Denison woman was fatally struck by a vehicle on Friday night in Sherman, police said.

The fatal collision, which took place at about 9:15 p.m. April 19, occurred on FM 1417 near the Park Manor apartments.

Police said Raven Loehr was trying to cross FM 1417 when she was hit by a southbound SUV.

Loehr died in the collision.

No details were provided on the driver of the vehicle involved.

The crash caused a closure of FM 1417 for several hours as the scene was examined and cleared.

The officers are still investigating the wreck.
