Injuries Reported in Houston Car Accident on East Freeway near Jensen

Houston, Texas (May 10, 2019) – A driver was hospitalized after he was pinned inside a car that was involved in an accident with a semi-truck on Thursday afternoon in Houston, according to the authorities.

The incident was reported at around 12:50 p.m. May 9, on East Freeway near Jensen.

Police said a small car was traveling along the East Freeway near Jensen when the driver swerved across several lanes into the path of a semi-truck. The semi then struck the vehicle, causing the driver to be pinned in the car.

The firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after and extricated the trapped driver from the car. The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the semi was unhurt

The crash remains under investigation.
