40-Year-Old Man Killed in Southwest Houston Car Crash on Highway 90

Southwest Houston, Texas (May 10, 2019) – A 40-year-old man was killed and a 19-year-old wrong-way driver arrested after a Thursday morning crash in Southwest Houston, according to the HPD.

The deadly crash occurred at around 2:30 a.m. May 10, in the 12000 block of Highway 90.

Houston police said Trevor Bergin, 19, was driving the wrong way when his Chevrolet Silverado struck a black Nissan Versa.

The driver of the Nissan was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bergin attempted to flee the scene but he was detained and transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Authorities are investigating the crash.
