Man Killed in Austin Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (May 7, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Tuesday morning in Downtown Austin, according to a report by the Austin police.

The collision occurred in the 100 block of North Interstate 35 at about 2:54 a.m.

Police said the man was trying to cross the freeway when a vehicle struck him.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

Police said the driver involved remained at the scene and rendered aid to the victim.

The crash is under investigation.
