Alpine, Texas (April 10, 2019) – Police officers are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on Tuesday morning in Alpine, according to the Alpine Police Department,

The incident took place at about 8:30 a.m. April 9, at the intersection of Holland and 6th Street.

A witness said the pedestrian walked into the path of traffic and was hit by a vehicle.

The pedestrian sustained major injuries and was taken to Big Bend Regional Medical Center, where they were later pronounced dead.

The crash is still under investigation.
