Houston, Texas (April 20, 2019) – A man was killed when he slammed into the rear of a vehicle with his motorcycle in Southwest Houston Friday afternoon.

According to the authorities, the incident occurred at about 4 p.m. April 19, in the 8600 block of Cook Road.

Police said a man was riding a motorcycle southbound on Cook Road when he crashed into the back of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The impact ejected the rider and he slammed into a power pole.

The rider was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

No other injuries were reported from the incident.

The identities of the parties involved were not immediately available.

The crash is under investigation.
