22-Year-Old Man Seriously Hurt in Nacogdoches Big Rig Crash on State Highway 7

Nacogdoches, Texas (May 8, 2019) – A 22-year-old man was seriously injured in a collision between a vehicle and a big rig on Tuesday morning in Nacogdoches, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The accident happened at about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, on State Highway 7 at the intersection of FM 711.

DPS said Henderson man was driving a 2015 passenger vehicle westbound on SH 7 when he failed to control his speed ad slammed into the rear of a 2014 Kenworth truck-tractor that was slowing down to make a right turn onto FM 711.

The car driver was transported to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was cited for failure to control his speed.
