Man Hurt in San Angelo Pedestrian Collision on Beauregard and Garrett

San Angelo, Texas (June 13, 2019) – A man was transported to the hospital after being hit by a suspected distracted driver on Wednesday in San Angelo, police said.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Beauregard and Garrett on Wednesday, June 12.

According to police, the driver of a silver a Ford was eating when a sandwich fell. As the driver reached for the sandwich, the driver swerved to the shoulder and hit a pedestrian.

The victim was taken to Shannon for treatment of serious injuries.

Police cited the Ford driver for failure to control speed.
