Man Dies in Baytown Pedestrian Crash on Thompson Road

Baytown, Texas (May 1, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday night in Baytown, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened at about 9:14 p.m. April 30, in the 2400 block of Thompson Road near Ellis School Road.

Police said a man was hit by a van and the impact threw him into a ditch. The driver of the van stayed at the scene but could not locate the victim.

The authorities were called to the scene and after a short search, they were able to locate the pedestrian.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver cooperated with the investigators, according to the deputies.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
