Man Hospitalized after Port Arthur Motorcycle Crash on South Gulfway Drive

Port Arthur, Texas (June 10, 2019) – A man was hospitalized following a motorcycle collision on Sunday afternoon in Port Arthur, according to the authorities.

The wreck happened at about 2 p.m. June 9, in the 5000 block of South Gulfway Drive.

Police said a 46-year-old Nederland man was riding a motorcycle southbound on South Gulfway Drive when he lost control and crashed after braking to avoid a southbound car that made a turn off the roadway.

The rider was airlifted to CHRISTUS-Saint Elizabeth Hospital with critical injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash is under investigation.
