Houston, Texas (April 21, 2019) – The man who was killed in a collision between a METRO bus and a motorcycle on Monday afternoon in the Galleria area has been identified as Dionisios Vythoulkas, 31, according to the authorities.

The crash took place on Woodway Drive and North Post Oak Boulevard on Monday, April 15.

Police said a METRO bus was turning from Woodway Drive onto North Post Oak Boulevard when it entered the path of a motorcyclist who had been westbound on Woodway Drive. The two collided and the motorcycle was engulfed in flames.

The rider, later identified as Vythoulkas, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash is under investigation.
