Darrell Henderson ID’d as Man Killed in Beaumont Bicycle Crash on Cardinal Drive near 4th Street

Beaumont, Texas (May 26, 2019) – Darrell Henderson, 44, has been identified as the bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Friday night in Beaumont, according to the Beaumont Police Department.

The crash took place at about 11:04 p.m. May 24, in the 3700 block of West Cardinal Drive near 4th Street.

Police said Henderson was riding a bicycle when he entered the roadway and was struck by a car traveling southbound on Cardinal Drive.

Henderson was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash caused a closure of southbound Cardinal Drive near 4th Street as the incident was investigated.

The crash remains under investigation.
