3 Killed in Arlington Car Crash on Interstate 20 near Matlock Road

Arlington, Texas (June 8, 2019) – Three people were killed in a fiery car crash on Thursday evening in Arlington, according to a local news source.

The crash was reported at around 11:00 p.m. June 6, in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 near Matlock Road.

According to police, a car became disabled on the right shoulder of the road and the driver called for help. Another vehicle pulled behind to offer assistance but shortly after, 29-year-old Jose Castrol crashed into the parked car.

The crash killed two people who were in the parked car while the disabled vehicle caught fire, killing its occupant.

Castrol was taken into custody and charged with three counts of intoxication manslaughter.

The identities of the deceased parties were not immediately available.

Police are investigating the incident.
