Haven Sandoval ID’d as Toddler Killed in Bishop Traffic Accident on FM 70 near County Road 73
Bishop, Texas (May 26, 2019) – The toddler who was killed alongside a teenager in a head-on collision that occurred late Friday night near Bishop has been identified as Haven Sandoval, 2, of Kingsville, according to the authorities.
The deadly collision happened at about 11:15 p.m. May 24, on FM 70 near County Road 73.
According to a DPS report, a 2008 Ford Fusion traveling westbound on FM 70 drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an eastbound Mercedes-Benz.
Sandoval and a teen, identified as Mario Alberto Benevidez, 18, of Kingsville, were riding in the Fusion and were both killed in the wreck.
Two other people were airlifted to Christus Spohn Shoreline with unknown injuries.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
