Man Killed in Kilgore Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 20
Kilgore, Texas (May 24, 2019) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle early Friday morning near Kilgore, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The wreck happened at about 1:56 a.m. on westbound Interstate 20, approximately half a mile east of Kilgore.
DPS said a man’s pickup truck became disabled on Interstate 20 after experiencing a mechanical problem. As he and his passenger were trying to push it out of the way, a tractor-trailer crashed into the driver and the pickup truck.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
