Brandon Duckett Killed in Nacogdoches Pedestrian Crash on South Street
Nacogdoches, Texas (May 14, 2019) – The man who was left in critical condition following a hit-and-run pedestrian crash earlier this month in Nacogdoches later succumbed to his injuries, according to a local news source.
The collision took place in the 3200 block of South Street on May 4.
Police said Brandon Duckett, 23, of Nacogdoches, was trying to cross South Street when a southbound vehicle hit him. The driver stayed at the scene. A second driver also hit the pedestrian but fled the scene of the crash.
Duckett was taken to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital with critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital on Wednesday, May 8.
The Nacogdoches Police Department is investigating the incident.
